Deep groove ball bearing and angular contact ball bearing
Deep groove ball bearing and angular contact ball bearing are representative rolling bearings, which are widely used and can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load. They are suitable for high-speed rotation and occasions requiring low noise and low vibration. The sealed bearing with steel plate dust cover or rubber sealing ring is pre filled with grease, and the bearing with stop ring or flange on the outer ring is easy to locate axially, It is also convenient for installation in the shell. The size of the maximum load bearing is the same as that of the standard bearing, but there is another filling groove in the inner and outer rings, which increases the number of balls and improves the rated load.
Different types and load directions
Deep groove ball bearing
Deep groove ball bearing is the most common type of rolling bearing. It mainly bears radial load, and can also bear radial load and axial load at the same time. When it only bears radial load, the contact angle is zero. When the deep groove ball bearing has large radial clearance, it has the performance of angular contact bearing and can bear large axial load. The friction coefficient of deep groove ball bearing is very small and the limit speed is also very high.
The main type are as follow,
Angular contact ball bearing
There are contact angles between the ferrule and the ball. The standard contact angles are 15 / 25 and 40 degrees. The larger the contact angle, the greater the axial load capacity. The smaller the contact angle, the more conducive to high-speed rotation. Single row bearing can bear radial load and unidirectional axial load. DB combination, DF combination and double row angular contact ball bearing can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load, DT combination is suitable for occasions with large unidirectional axial load and insufficient rated load of a single bearing. ACh type bearing is used for high speed. It has small ball diameter and many balls. It is mostly used for machine tool spindle. In general, angular contact ball bearings are suitable for high-speed and high-precision rotation.
Structural differences
Deep groove ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings with the same internal and external diameter and width have the same inner ring size and structure, but the outer ring size and structure are different:
1. Deep groove ball bearings have double shoulders on both sides of the outer ring channel, while angular contact ball bearings generally have single shoulder;
2. The channel curvature of the outer ring of deep groove ball bearing is different from that of angular contact ball, and the latter is often greater than the former;
3. The groove position of the outer ring of deep groove ball bearing is different from that of angular contact ball bearing, which is not the central position. Its specific value is considered in the design of angular contact ball bearing, which is related to the degree of contact angle;
Usage
1. The two are used for different purposes. Deep groove ball bearings are suitable for bearing radial force, small axial force, combined axial and radial load and moment load, while angular contact ball bearings can bear single radial load and large axial load (varying with different contact angles), and double pairing (varying with different pairing methods) can bear two-way axial load and moment load.
2. The limit speed of angular contact ball bearing with the same size is higher than that of deep groove ball bearing.
